Job Description

Anyon Systems is a quantum computing company located in the Greater Montreal Region and with presence in Waterloo, Ontario. We work at the cutting edge of technology to develop and commercialise superconducting quantum computers. The company is rapidly growing and has both hardware and software groups to achieve its R&D goals.

You will be working within our Quantum Hardware Team, a team of engineers and scientists dedicated to the design, fabrication, and testing of novel superconducting quantum processors. You will collaborate closely with other teams when required. In this role, you will draw on your strong expertise as well as your critical thinking and strong focus on documentation.

Responsibilities

Independently design and simulate novel superconducting quantum circuits.

Develop and validate circuit layouts using the Anyon Systems design toolkit.

Develop experimental protocols and perform experimental work on superconducting quantum devices.

Collaborate closely with the nanofabrication team to guide implementation and process optimization.

Communicate technical results clearly in reports, presentations, and cross-functional meetings.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong focus on quantum information or quantum devices.

1–3 years of postdoctoral research experience in quantum hardware, superconducting circuits, or a related field.

Proficient in Python and/or C++ for simulation or instrumentation.

Experience with microwave engineering and/or superconducting circuits and/or quantum optics.

Experience with design validation using FEM or similar tools.

Exposure to nanofabrication and superconducting qubits is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

Concevoir et simuler de manière autonome des circuits quantiques supraconducteurs innovants.

Développer et valider des mises en page de circuits à l’aide de la boîte à outils de conception Anyon Systems.

Élaborer des protocoles expérimentaux et réaliser des travaux expérimentaux sur des dispositifs quantiques supraconducteurs.

Collaborer étroitement avec l’équipe de nanofabrication afin d’orienter l’implantation et l’optimisation des procédés.

Communiquer clairement les résultats techniques dans des rapports, présentations et réunions interfonctionnelles.

Qualifications

Doctorat en physique, génie électrique ou domaine étroitement lié, avec une spécialisation en information quantique ou dispositifs quantiques.

1 à 3 ans d’expérience postdoctorale en Hardware quantique, circuits supraconducteurs ou domaine connexe.

Maîtrise de Python et/ou C++ pour la simulation ou l’instrumentation.

Expérience en ingénierie micro-ondes et/ou circuits supraconducteurs et/ou optique quantique.

Expérience en validation de conception à l’aide d’outils FEM ou similaires.

Une exposition à la nanofabrication et aux qubits supraconducteurs est fortement souhaitée.

Autonomie et capacité à gérer les tâches de manière indépendante.

Solides aptitudes en réflexion critique et en résolution de problèmes.

Communicateur.trice efficace, capable de contribuer à des projets interdisciplinaires.
