About the role
The Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial management of projects across a range of sectors, working closely with ORS Project Managers, clients, and external consultants.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a broader consultancy-style role within a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cost planning, estimating, and budget development
Preparation of tender documentation and evaluation of returns
Procurement support and subcontractor appointment
Preparation of valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts
Assessment and agreement of variations and final accounts
Contract administration support and commercial risk management
Close collaboration with ORS Project Managers and client teams
Essential Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Economics (or equivalent)
2–5 years’ relevant post-graduate QS experience
Experience in consultancy or contractor environments
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
Proficiency in Buildsoft/Cubit, Microsoft Excel and Cost Reporting Documents
Experience with measurement of full Bills of Quantities in accordance with the current Agreed Rules of Measurement
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Irish project experience essential
