Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to support high-level commercial, pre-contract, and forensic cost work across major construction, infrastructure, and resources projects.

This role goes beyond traditional estimating or QS functions. You will contribute to tendering, variation pricing, claims preparation, and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments, as well as support dispute-resolution and forensic quantity surveying work used in arbitration or expert witness matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QS or Estimator with strong technical foundations who is looking to expand into forensic QS, claims, and disputes advisory, while continuing to work on complex, high-value projects across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical scopes, including labour, materials, plant, and time-related costs.

Analyse drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction documentation to develop accurate and competitive estimates.

Support the preparation of variation pricing, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.

Assist in developing technical and commercial reports for disputes, arbitration, or expert witness matters.

Analyse contracts, project records, schedules, and cost data to support forensic QS and claims work.

Critically assess tender and bid documents, identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options.

Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations against self-perform estimates.

Prepare tender forecasts, cost reports, and budget tracking tools.

Manage RFIs and clarifications with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Maintain clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation suitable for commercial, technical, and legal review.

Collaborate closely with senior consultants on forensic analysis, dispute support, and evidence preparation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying and/or Estimating within construction, infrastructure, or resources projects.

Demonstrated experience across one or more of the following disciplines:
Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical.

Experience in variation pricing, claims preparation, or EOT assessments is highly regarded.

Exposure to complex project environments such as Infrastructure (rail/road), Power Generation & Substations, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Iron Ore, or Resources is an advantage.

Strong analytical capability with excellent written communication skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis and documentation.

Comfortable working with materials and reports that may be used in dispute resolution, arbitration, or court settings.

Willingness to develop expertise in forensic quantity surveying and expert witness support.

Willing to work in the office full-time at Arcovia City, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City. (Monday - Friday, morning shift)
