Quantitative Researcher - Mid-Frequency

Fasanara Digital was established 7 years ago and is the crypto arm of Fasanara Capital, a 14year-old boutique alternative asset manager. We are a Quantitative Investment fund applying a scientific approach to investing in crypto assets. Our goal is to achieve exceptional risk-adjusted returns. Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Frequency Quantitative Researcher to design, develop, and deploy systematic trading strategies in digital asset market as well as support the portfolio management activities for the multi-strategy book. You will own the end-to-end research lifecycle —from idea generation and signal construction to implementation, monitoring, and ongoing optimization—working closely with execution and infrastructure teams

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and validate high-quality quantitative trading signals for crypto markets.
• Lead the full strategy development lifecycle, from hypothesis generation to live deployment.
• Monitor live trading performance, risk exposures, and strategy robustness.
• Continuously refine and enhance existing models based on performance and market dynamics.
• Develop dashboards and analytics to support monitoring and analysis of the Mid-Frequency strategy portfolio.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of research methodologies, results, and improvements.
• Communicate findings, risks, and strategy updates effectively to internal stakeholders.

Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience in quantitative finance, trading, or a related field.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science or similar).
• Strong foundation in statistics and quantitative analysis.
• Hands-on experience in Python and SQL.
• Proven ability to work with large-scale, mid- or high-frequency time-series datasets.
• Proficiency in Linux-based environments; familiarity with production research workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple research streams in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail.
• Independent, self-driven mindset with strong collaboration skills.
• Market-focused perspective with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
