In this role, you will work closely with quantitative researchers, data scientists, and engineers to design and implement data-driven models, research tools, and backend infrastructure that support quantitative strategies and financial analytics.
This position is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys solving complex problems using Python, working with large datasets, and translating mathematical or financial concepts into efficient code.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain quantitative tools, research pipelines, and data processing systems using Python.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to implement financial models, statistical methods, and algorithmic strategies.
• Build efficient data ingestion and transformation pipelines for financial market data.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code that can be used in both research and production environments.
• Assist in backtesting trading strategies and evaluating model performance using historical data.
• Optimize algorithms and data workflows for performance and scalability.
• Support the development of internal libraries and reusable components for quantitative research.
• Work with engineering teams to integrate quantitative models into production systems.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, or insights relevant to financial modeling.
Required Qualifications
• 0–2 years of professional experience in software development, quantitative development, or data-related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with writing clean and efficient code.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar data analysis tools.
• Basic knowledge of statistics, probability, or quantitative methods.
• Experience working with structured datasets and data manipulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to financial markets, trading systems, or quantitative finance concepts.
• Experience with data visualization libraries such as Matplotlib or Plotly.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases for handling large datasets.
• Understanding of machine learning basics or statistical modeling.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
What You’ll Gain
• Hands-on exposure to quantitative finance and financial data systems.
• Opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers and quantitative researchers.
• Real-world experience building systems used for financial modeling, data analysis, and algorithmic research.
• A collaborative environment focused on learning, experimentation, and technical growth.
