Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, revise, and maintain quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and inspection plans.
Conduct internal audits and participate in supplier and external audits (e.g., ISO certification) to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
Assist in implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor and control production processes.
Perform risk assessments and contribute to the development of risk management strategies.
Support validation and qualification activities for processes, equipment, and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and review non-conforming materials and products.
Investigate and assist in resolving customer complaints related to quality issues.
Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends, develop metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and verification of measurement and test equipment.
Participate in new product development and introduction, providing input on quality requirements and specifications.
Work with suppliers and customers to ensure adherence to quality requirements and expectations.
Support the training and development of employees on quality-related processes, procedures, and best practices.
Stay informed on industry trends, standards, and regulations, implementing relevant improvements as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, auditing, and reporting.
Solid understanding of quality management systems and applicable regulatory requirements.
Proactive problem-solving skills with strong technical aptitude.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
Analytical mindset with familiarity in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical analysis methods.
Ability to interpret and apply technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of risk management, validation, and qualification processes.
Adaptability to new technologies, evolving processes, and shifting priorities.
Strong teamwork skills, with effective written and verbal communication.
Demonstrates willingness to learn, flexibility, and a collaborative approach in a dynamic environment.
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree or relevant certification in Engineering, preferably in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Prior experience in a quality-focused role or within a similar industry is preferred.
Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, particularly with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum equipment, is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to concentrate and remain focused in an open office environment with potential distractions.
May require extended periods of standing, walking, bending, or lifting materials up to 25 lbs.
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects as necessary to perform job functions.
Ability to perform visual inspections requiring close attention to detail.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required depending on specific tasks or work areas.
