Who will you be working with?
As a member of the quality team, the Quality Technical Advisor provides front line leadership for a team of production technicians, and interacts directly with maintenance, manufacturing and operational engineers. Will report directly to quality manager and site leader dotted line.
 
How will you make a difference?
In this role, you will utilize your knowledge, experience and expertise to own responsibility for all elements of manufacturing. In this role, you will drive resolution of quality problems, ensure compliance with Quality Management System procedures, and lead in-process detection efforts resulting in an improved first pass yield. In short, the QTA will ensure and improve the overall quality of processes and products manufactured in their shift.
What do we want to know about you?
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Industrial, electrical, engineering.)
• Advanced English. Ability to communicate issues effectively at all levels.
• Knowledge and experience in PPAP´s, R&R, Control plan´s.
• Experience as a Quality Engineer (at least 4 years).
• Root cause analysis experience.
• Knowledge of ISO/AAR standards, quality procedures
• Internal Auditor and green belt certification are desirable.
• Commitment to process improvement focused on the customer, establishing priorities.
• Experience in project management is desirable.
• Experience with welding, assembly, electrical, and test processes, including ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

What will your typical day look like?
• Provide leadership as the main quality interface with the Manufacturing team.
• Lead root cause investigations of quality issues.
• Lead quality culture improvement inside own area and across areas.
• Define, monitor, and improve quality metrics (Infancy/Warranty returns, DPU, NCMRs, CARs, Audits, etc.)
• Mentor resources including Interns, LEAD Program members, Quality Techs.
• Coordinate continuous improvement groups.
• Update and develop control plans.
• Support the identification of improvement opportunities.
• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Responsible for monitoring and improving the Defect Tracking System.
• Support Quality Department training programs for all union personnel.
• Support the Metrology Department in the development of Measurement System Validation.
