Overview

Quality – Manage all aspects of Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Documentation for the Environmental (ENV) business unit. Identify, design, develop, and maintain systems, equipment, and reference standards for the inspection and calibration of in-process subassemblies and finished goods. Manage incoming part Quality Control (QC) activities both on-site. Develop and apply sampling and monitoring programs to proactively identify nascent quality issues. Initiate and document corrective and disposition actions in response to quality issues. Analysis of errors and complaints using classic Lean methods.

Safety - Ensuring a high level of occupational safety in the company through systematic prevention, minimizing risks and promoting a sustainable safety culture. Assessment of workplaces, activities, and work environments for safety risks. Proposals for protective measures and their effectiveness monitoring, as well as participation in their implementation. Creation, updating and documentation of risk assessments in accordance with the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG) and the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV).

Documentation - Manage all relevant information systems (ERP, Netsuite, Salesforce, etc.) to provide documentation and record-keeping. Oversight and management of ENV Manufacturing ISO 9001:2015 document control. Creation and monitoring of work and operating instructions.

Professional Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Environmental Science or a related field) or an apprenticeship in a Marketing position.

• Completed technical vocational training or degree, with experience or training in Quality Assurance required and occupational safety.

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Quality focused department. Prior people management responsibilities preferred, but not required.

• Good communication skills in English and German (verbal/written).

GENERAL:

• Experience with establishing and maintaining National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceability for both internal references standards and finished goods.

• Formal training or certification in Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to initiate and execute quality centered projects involving cross-functional teams: especially quality, manufacturing, engineering, customer support, service, marketing, and sales.

• Demonstrated ability to make sound and timely decisions—by including appropriate people and gathering appropriate information.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
