QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent
Michigan Pharmacy Technician license OR eligibility for the Pharmacy Technician Program
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Ability to comply with all company policies, procedures, patient protocols, governmental regulations, and professional standards
Ability to complete annual online education requirements by the designated completion date
Honest and trustworthy spirit with strong integrity
Strong English communication and collaboration skills
Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of pharmacy software and general office equipment
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
Strong mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (basic algebraic understanding preferred)

WHAT TO EXPECT

As a full-time Quality Assurance Pharmacy Technician specializing in delivery preparation, your primary function is to ensure the accuracy, safety, and completeness of all medications prepared for delivery.

You will:

Conduct comprehensive quality assurance checks on medication orders prepared for delivery, including prescription accuracy, medication selection, dosage accuracy, and proper packaging and labeling.
Verify that all medications are packaged and labeled according to pharmacy protocols, regulatory requirements, and patient-specific instructions, ensuring accurate medication names, strengths, directions for use, and expiration dates.
Inspect dispensed medications for visual accuracy, integrity, and compliance with quality standards, identifying any signs of damage, contamination, or tampering.
Communicate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely delivery.
Perform ad hoc quality checks in the production area.
Complete pull forms in a timely manner.
Ensure the dashboard is clear on the day of delivery and communicate with the cycle department regarding any remaining patients.
Ship medications via FedEx to the proper patient or facility address.
Ensure a packing slip is included in every delivery.
Assist with other duties as assigned to maintain smooth pharmacy operations.
