Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for driving operational excellence and compliance in airport baggage systems? BEUMER Group Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to ensure quality standards across our airport projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring system verification and compliance, safety, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction through robust quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Quality Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality management systems and processes to enhance the operational efficiency and safety of the airport baggage system. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that airport baggage services meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing quality management systems
• Planning and conducting regular audits and inspections to assess compliance
• Analysing data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborating with stakeholders to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitoring and controlling a material and installation inspection request system
• Ensuring BHS are inspected and quality KPIs are recorded and reported to the Project Director
• Managing the defect register system and the risk mitigation register
• Participating in the project lifecycle and supporting the execution team
• Ensuring adherence to baggage regulations and industry best practices
• Conducting weekly meetings & site walks with sub-contractors
• Participating in site meetings with the relevant stakeholders and contractors

Success in this position involves maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements, conducting audits and inspections, and driving a culture of quality excellence.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a quality-focused professional who thrives in dynamic environments and brings:

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in quality management, aviation management, engineering, or related field
• Certified Lead Auditor (QMS) or similar certification
• 5+ years of experience in quality management within the airport industry
• Experience to international projects
• Strong leadership experience is desirable
