Job Summary:
This position is a multi-functional role responsible for Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control Inspection, and Project Controls support. The employee plays a key role in project planning, cost tracking, schedule monitoring, documentation control, and reporting, while also ensuring materials are properly received, inspected, documented, tracked, and shipped. The role requires strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and close coordination with Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Field Operations to support safe, compliant, on-time, and on-budget project execution.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform Shipping & Receiving duties including receiving, staging, labeling, inventory support, packaging, and shipment coordination.
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and project requirements; coordinate receiving inspections with Quality Control.
Track project costs, commitments, expenditures; prepare forecasts of cost at completion; help with cost reconciliation.
Help with post‐award administration of project contracts/grants/funds, ensuring compliance with funding agreements, specifications, permits.
Support audits, internal reviews, and assurance processes related to cost, schedule, and project control systems.
Collaborate with project stakeholders (engineering, procurement, construction, finance) to gather data and verify data integrity.
Assist in identifying risks and opportunities; contribute to risk mitigation planning.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong understanding of project controls principles including cost tracking, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting.
Ability to work with budgets, cost codes, quantities, and performance metrics.
Knowledge of quality inspection concepts, procedures, and documentation requirements.
Ability to accurately use and read calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, and other inspection tools.
Ability to read and interpret pipe ISO drawings, material takeoffs, and basic construction documents.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes including documentation, packaging, and load securement principles.
Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to learn project controls software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties. English proficiency is required due to operational and safety communication needs.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
2+ years combined experience in project controls, quality inspection, shipping/receiving, or industrial construction support roles preferred.
Experience with cost tracking, reporting, or scheduling in a construction or fabrication environment preferred.
Experience with ASME, AWS, or applicable construction/inspection standards preferred.
NCCER Core certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
Forklift and overhead crane qualification preferred or required after hire based on job assignment.
Physical Requirements:
Office-based with regular shop, warehouse, and field presence.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; heavier items moved with mechanical assistance.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including shop, yard, and jobsite settings.
Good visual acuity and hearing ability to support inspection, data verification, and safe operations.
Must wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
May require extended hours to meet project reporting deadlines or shipment schedules.
