Quality Inspector

This is a key role to provide essential service, conduct inspection of goods inward components and materials in a timely manner, raise rejections notices on suppliers, convert internal rejections into supplier returns, operate and maintain the internal calibration system.

Reporting to the Senior Supplier Quality & Engineer in this role you will conduct review of documentation supplied with delivered against the appropriate internal or external specification. Support production regarding quality issues during the assembly process. Solve the production quality issues with a problem-solving approach and provide a consistently high value, high quality material control service for all machined goods coming into the business.

In this role you will work in an appropriate and safe manner, maintaining compliance with local health and safety procedures. You will carry out goods inwards inspection of all bought in parts in accordance with company procedures, using as reference engineering drawings, purchase orders, or other associated specifications, either national or international. Perform roving and factory support inspections.

This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can think logically, work to a deadline and as part of a team. Capable of setting and maintaining personal housekeeping standards, take care of the production non-conformities.

Experience Requirements:

• Read engineering drawings
• knowledge of the basic Quality tools (8D, 5 whys)
• Extensive knowledge of programming Mitutoyo CMMs
• Extensive knowledge of physical measurement techniques
• Calibration experience
• Basic understanding of machining processes
