Quality Engineering Intern

Aviya Aerospace Systems is a leader in engineering services and solutions for mission critical Aerospace and Defense applications. Aviya provides expertise in program management, systems, software, mechanical, and hardware engineering to many of the top-tier Aerospace and Defense Contractors. We have an immediate opening for a Quality Engineering Intern to join our Quality Team for a 4-month summer internship at our Mississauga location. We are actively hiring for this role.

Specific Position Duties:
• Work with the Process & Quality Team to develop and maintain the organization’s AS9100 D Quality Management System.

• Assist in developing and maintaining Process & Quality documents (Plans, Manuals, Procedures, Work Instructions, Templates, Checklists etc.)

• Perform additional tasks.

Qualifications for Position:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Management, Project Management, or Quality Management, or enrolled in a post-graduate diploma program in Quality Management.

• Collaborative team member who can complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to conduct thorough document reviews, with strong language proficiency and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proven ability to plan, manage, and prioritize milestones and commitments.

• Able to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.

• Experience using Git for version control.

• Experience with high-level scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Ruby).

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Word.

• Working knowledge of MediaWiki (front-end administration, content editing, templating, etc.).

• Familiarity with AsciiDoc markup.

• Familiarity with draw.io/Visio for creating process flows and process maps.
