Quality Engineering Architect - IoT & Cloud Services (d/f/m)

What we expect

Lead quality and automation strategy for IoT and cloud-connected systems, covering device-to-cloud communication, data processing, event workflows and business logic.
Define and champion testability standards to ensure smooth device onboarding, including authentication, provisioning, connectivity, and configuration.
Architect scalable frameworks that validate IoT protocols, verify cloud backend integrations, and emulate device and cloud behaviors across end-to-end workflows
Partner with engineering teams to detect performance and timing issues across IoT and edge-to-cloud workflows.
Ensure device-to-cloud communication remains reliable under expected operational scenarios such as load variation, retries, throttling, and update processes.
Implement CI/CD practices with automated quality checks spanning code quality, deployment workflows, governance, and compliance.
Guide observability validation for cloud and IoT services, including logs, metrics, traces, and dashboards.
Promote consistent and scalable testing practices across teams.

Who we are looking for

Experience working with IoT or cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), including services for messaging, event processing, and data storage.
Understanding of common communication or messaging protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, or HTTP.
Hands-on experience with test automation using modern frameworks or tools (e.g., Robot Framework, pytest, Postman/Newman, Pact, or similar).
Experience with service mocking, simulation, virtualization, or feature-flag-driven testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD systems and quality reporting tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, Allure, or equivalents).
Knowledge of advanced quality practices such as contract testing, fault injection, quality gates, or cost-aware testing strategies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across diverse engineering groups.
Curiosity for learning new technologies and using AI-assisted workflows to accelerate team productivity and innovation.
