Quality Engineering and Program Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer and Program Manager to join our BDS Fabrication Quality Organization in Berkeley, MO! We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized change agent to lead our Composites Center of Excellence (CoE) quality team, including Quality Engineering, Quality Specialists, and Quality Assurance personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the highest quality standards while being people-focused, mentoring, developing, and honing the skills of highly skilled technical and quality professionals to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the following relevant fields of study: Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry Position Responsibilities: Lead teams engaged in quality engineering, quality inspection, and technical activities across all phases of the product lifecycle to ensure consistent quality and compliance. Develop and evaluate quality cost and price proposals, along with comprehensive business cases, to support informed decision-making and ensure alignment with BDS Fabrication Quality strategic objectives and business partner needs. Formulate and implement quality strategies and plans that support new business acquisition and the successful execution of program and business objectives. Provide education and coaching to promote understanding and effective execution of the Quality Management System (QMS). Acquire and manage resources effectively, deliver quality technical management, and drive continuous performance improvements. Enhance the quality skills of team members and their practical application to maintain a robust Quality Operating System and foster personnel development. Build and sustain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports to promote collaboration and alignment . Supervise the review of technical information to ensure product quality, manufacturability, and compliance with requirements . Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve high performance and professional growth. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related discipline) 3+ years of experience with AS9100 and/or a similar Quality Management System standard 3+ years of experience in quality/ manufacturing process and organizations, leading production system and/or process improvements (i.e. lean, Boeing production system, improve job practices, techniques, and standards) 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) 3+ years of experience communicating and/or coaching operators, peers and leadership on various aspects of a quality system (associated with engineering, operations, or quality) 1+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners) Experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and precision measurement equipment Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer Demonstrated skills in team building, systematic problem solving and ethical leadership 3+ years of experience communicating and/or coaching operators, peers and leadership on various aspects of a quality system (associated with engineering, operations, or quality) 3+ years of experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) 1+ years of experience using precision measurement equipment Experience with the One Boeing Production System (BPS) Relocation : This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility .
