The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Quality Engineer to support project teams in delivering work that meets the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and performance. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Quality Manager and field teams to ensure all materials, testing, and documentation align with project specifications. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects organized, compliant, and moving forward—while building a strong foundation in heavy civil construction quality processes.

What You’ll Do
Quality Coordination & Compliance
Review daily inspection reports from QC/QA inspectors for accuracy and completeness
Track and maintain logs of all testing and inspection activities
Verify Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) to ensure compliance with project specifications
Monitor and track documentation to ensure timely submission and proper recordkeeping
Documentation & Reporting
Enter inspection reports and testing results into project systems
Assist in preparing quality status reports and project updates
Support development of meeting minutes and documentation
Assist with project closeout documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Project & Team Support
Coordinate schedules for QC/QA inspectors and track field time
Participate in weekly progress and project status meetings
Collaborate with field and office teams to maintain alignment on quality expectations
Support additional project needs as assigned
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
3–5 years of construction experience, preferably in heavy civil or DOT projects
Experience supporting $10M+ projects
Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and AASHTO standards
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6 (Vista experience a plus)
Self-starter with strong organization and time management skills
