Compensation: $70,000 - 85,000/year
We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Quality Control (QC) Specialist to support our residential design team by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of architectural drawings and project documentation. This role focuses on redlining, document control, and technical drawing review to maintain high production standards across all residential projects.
The Architectural QC Specialist will work closely with architects, designers, and drafting staff to review drawing sets, track revisions, and ensure all documents meet company standards, code requirements, and client expectations.

Responsibilities:
• Review architectural drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all sheets.
• Perform technical redlines and markups on construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Verify compliance with internal drafting standards, residential building codes, and project requirements.
• Identify coordination issues between architectural drawings and other project documentation.
• Ensure dimensions, annotations, schedules, and references are correct and consistent.
• Provide clear redline markups for drafting and design teams.
• Track revisions and confirm corrections have been implemented accurately.
• Maintain consistency in graphic standards, labeling, and drawing organization.
• Manage drawing version control and maintain organized digital file structures.
• Track drawing revisions, submittals, and project milestones.
• Ensure the latest approved drawing sets are distributed to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain documentation logs and quality control checklists.
• Assist in maintaining company architectural drafting standards and templates.
• Support process improvements for drawing review and documentation workflows.
• Help train team members on document control procedures and QC expectations.
Requirements:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience reviewing or producing architectural construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of residential architectural plans and construction documentation.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in drawings.
