Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control (QC) Project Assistant to be the final eye for accuracy, clarity, and consistency across our client deliverables. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that clinical outputs meet the highest company standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on detail, can follow complex instructions, and proactively improve processes to drive quality across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the final quality control step before the deliverables are submitted to client.
Key Responsibilities
• Non-linguistic Translation Quality Review: Perform final, non-linguistic checks on a variety of translation deliverables from the life sciences domain. Ensure adherence to glossaries, reference files and client instructions. Review and fix formatting and layout of the final deliverables. Ensure files are entirely finalised for delivery and that no comments, track changes or unresolved issues are present.
• Rigorous Quality Control Checks of Additional Deliverables: Verify correct methodology and client information is captured in translation certificates and data reports. Ensure specific client requirements in file naming, file properties and file types are followed.
• Delivery finalization: Confirming delivery to client is comprehensive and complete – no missing files, all scopes present, successful upload to client platform, etc.
• Monitoring Compliance: Monitor that previous quality steps were performed to the highest standard and report on recommended improvements as needed.
• Style & Standards Management: Maintain and update internal style guides, and QC checklists to ensure consistency across teams and projects.
• Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance translation workflows, tools, and efficiencies. Monitor clarity and consistency of production instructions and take a proactive role in improving processes.
• Collaboration: Provide constructive feedback to production and linguist teams to further improve quality of deliverables.
