Quality Control Officer – LA Casa

( 32 hours part time)

About the Role

Our QC Officers play a critical role in maintaining product quality and food safety standards across the site.

At La Casa, QC Officers work across all areas of the warehouse, from receiving stock through to supporting production line operations. This role ensures that all products meet HelloFresh quality standards, food safety requirements, and regulatory compliance obligations before reaching our customers.

QC Officers are responsible for upholding HACCP and GMP standards, identifying and escalating non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality and food safety performance across the site.

General Responsibilities

• Conduct and document product quality, compliance, and labelling assessments of incoming products in accordance with HelloFresh and legislative requirements.

• Identify, record, and escalate supplier-related or internal non-conformances to the Site QC Lead, Quality Assurance Lead, and/or Production Team as required.

• Implement procedures to label, segregate, and control non-conforming products, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are completed.

• Perform and document pre-operational and operational compliance checks on production lines to maintain and continuously improve HelloFresh Food Safety, HACCP, and GMP standards.

• Support the Site QC Lead in implementing and maintaining safe food practices across the production floor.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of quality standards and processes.

• Maintain organisation, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards of the QC station and surrounding work area.

A strong team-oriented approach, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high quality and food safety standards are essential for success in this role.

Education

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline) is desirable.

• Food Safety certification (required or desirable, depending on role level).

• HACCP certification (desirable).
