A leading industrial engineering business is seeking a detail-oriented Quality & Compliance professional to take ownership of key safety and quality systems. This role will oversee compliance platforms, non-conformance tracking, ISO standards, and document control processes while supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality assurance within an industrial or manufacturing environment and a hands-on approach to maintaining accurate, compliant, and efficient systems across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Safety, Compliance & Systems Management
• Take ownership of the HSI Donesafe platform, managing safety, compliance, and non-conformance reporting workflows.
• Manage document control processes across the business, including version control, accessibility, and audit readiness.
• Coordinate and maintain confined space registers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regular review cycles.
• Drive adherence to quality processes across the business, ensuring consistency in documentation, reporting, and operational practices.
• Support audit preparation and compliance activities, ensuring the business meets regulatory and certification requirements.
Quality Assurance & ISO Compliance
• Maintain and manage the non-conformance register, ensuring all issues are logged, tracked, and closed out in a timely manner.
• Oversee quality assurance documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
• Conduct gap analyses against ISO standards and internal quality frameworks, identifying areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of quality management systems and processes.
Documentation & Technical Requirements
• Prepare, review, and maintain SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) for client and project requirements.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure defects, measurements, and quality checks are properly recorded and actioned.
• Perform a high volume of administrative and documentation tasks with accuracy and consistency.
• Develop and implement training plans related to quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other role-specific duties as they arise.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2–5 years of experience in a quality control, quality assurance, or compliance-focused role within an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Strong experience working with safety and compliance systems (e.g. HSI Donesafe or similar platforms).
• Experience managing non-conformance registers and quality reporting processes.
• Solid understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001).
• Proven ability to manage document control processes in a structured and compliant manner.
• Experience preparing and reviewing SWMS and other safety-related documentation.
• Strong administrative capability, with the ability to handle repetitive and detail-heavy tasks accurately.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong written communication skills for documentation, reporting, and compliance records.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality and compliance functions.
• Experience within a pump, mechanical, or industrial equipment environment is highly advantageous.
• Exposure to SAP-based safety or compliance systems is desirable.
• Experience supporting or leading ISO audits and certification processes is a plus.
• Experience developing and delivering internal training programs is also advantageous.
