Role Description
The Quality Auditor role supports the Custom Solutions and Quality teams by ensuring fabricated assemblies and incoming components meet the highest quality standards before being delivered to customers. This position involves conducting assembly inspections and quality audits, reviewing P&ID and SolidWorks drawings, and applying ISO auditing experience to verify compliance with ABSA, ISO, and Swagelok Quality System requirements. The role also involves preparing reports on quality metrics, collaborating with internal teams to ensure adherence to quality protocols, and supporting corrective actions when required. In addition to quality assurance responsibilities, the successful candidate will assist with warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, and cycle counts to help maintain accurate inventory levels. The position may also support quality-related functions such as calibrated equipment tracking and equipment maintenance management. This opportunity is being offered as an 18-month contract.
Responsibilities
Utilize Inspection check list to verify assemblies have been correctly fabricated
Conduct internal quality audits to support our quality team
Support our quality team in preparation for external audits from Swagelok, ISO and ABSA
Complete periodic cycle counts on shop inventory to ensure accuracy
Provide assistance to our shop team with inventory receiving, picking and stocking.
Support operations team in preparation of quality documentatio
Maintain and promote 5S and lean best practices across the organization
Support the fabrication team with maintenance and calibration records and work orders
Oversee training requirement compliance with HR, quality and the shop foreman
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to learn mechanical and fluid systems–related technical information
Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and Google Workspace
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Previous internal auditing experience
Knowledge of ISO and ABSA standards
Interest in learning and expanding technical skill sets
Desirable Qualifications
ISO certification
Relevant trades training
Approximately 1 year of experience in ISO auditing
Experience working in a fabrication shop or oil and gas facility
Experience within the oil and gas or instrumentation industry
Awareness or familiarity with the Swagelok product line
Experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1)
