At Villari Brothers Food, the Quality Assurance Manager will plan, coordinate and direct quality control & SQF program in two facilities, designed to ensure continuous
Production of products consistent with established standards.
Job duties:
Develop, analyze, and reassess the HACCP Plans, SSOPs, SOPs, Prerequisites, and supporting documents as needed to produce a Safe Quality Food product.
Collect review, and audit HACCP, SSOP, SOP, Prerequisite, and supporting documents and correct errors if necessary.
Implement corrective action if a HACCP, SSOP, SOP, Prerequisite, or any supporting documentation deviation has occurred.
Review corrective action deviation documents with the Director of Food Safety prior to submitting to the USDA.
Enforce immediate corrective actions if an NR has been issued by the USDA to restore conditions for production to continue or resume if areas are under the USDA tag.
Review and proofread all documents for grammar and spelling errors and ensure documentation is corrected properly.
Must be able to work with USDA and management at a professional level.
Review and sign all necessary documents daily double-checking QC technician's work.
Directly manage all employees assigned to work areas.
Follow employee handbook including discipline action up to termination. The ability to stop operations to protect the product quality and food safety.
Assign and distribute additional duties in the absence of a QC technician.
Communicate quality and/or food safety issues to the Director of Food Safety and Director of Operations as they arise.
Assist in food safety and quality training QC Technicians, Managers, and Plant management when needed.
Knowledge of high-risk processing with the ability to enforce the company’s listeria control plan and take necessary corrective actions when positives occur.
This job position requires good attendance.
Other duties as assigned or requested by upper management.
Oversight, maintenance, and compliance to the facility HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, SQF, ABF Program of meat processing and Manufacturing.
To qualify for this job, you must have:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school Diploma or GED
Experience in a high-volume food manufacturing environment or related field preferred
Demonstrated experience and strong commitment to meeting internal customer requirements and continuous improvement objectives
HACCP & GFSI Certified
We’d also love it if you have:
Meat processing experience is a plus.
Experience in swine slaughter is a plus
