The Quality Assurance Lead plays will assist in supervision of all quality assurance functions, implementation, development, audit and maintenance of plant’s quality and food safety systems. Also, including HACCP to assure compliance and customer satisfaction by monitoring of quality assurance personnel, training, and maintain order in technical expertise. Provide technical support/resource for quality assurance personnel, production and other plant departments.
Compensation- $24.00 - $25.50 Hourly 
What our Quality Assurance Lead will do:
Quality and Food Safety
Development, implementation and maintenance of all applicable elements of the POM Wonderful Quality and Food Safety systems to assure compliance.
Special Projects
Responsible for leading/assisting in special projects and analyses during the season focusing on Arils process.
HARPC (FSMA)/HACCP
Participate in the PC checks and implementation for FSMA. Responsible for understanding and supporting the sustainment and development of POM Wonderful’s HACCP Food Safety Program. Understand and Monitor CCP’s.
Testing
Overlook testing of water, in-process arils, air monitoring, finished product micro testing, environmental swabbing, preparing & submitting samples to third party testing.
Technical Assistance
Responsible for providing technical assistance to Quality Assurance operations, calibrations of equipment, ordering supplies and aid in achieving product quality.
Recordkeeping
Responsible for assisting in maintaining processing records that will allow for product, packaging, and ingredient holds and review of documents for product release. Review manufacturing process records to assure that customer and regulatory requirements are met. Review, create and maintain daily production files which include all production processing and quality paperwork.
 
Skills & experience that are necessary as our Quality Assurance Lead will include, but not limited to:
• Familiarity with state specific food safety laws and the biology of micro-organisms.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations based upon research outcomes.
• A logical thinker with an enquiring mind, and knowledge in biological sciences.
• Ability to see the plan with business perspectives, and work hands on to complete given tasks.
• Promote communication, involve staff and employees, support staff, communicate objectives and develop employee potential. Lead problem-solving efforts through team meetings and on-the-floor leadership to effectively influence positive change and continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and assistance to all levels of employees, with professional communication skills, directing personnel on duties and assignments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently, performing efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to scheduling and environments.
• Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Ability to perform analysis and communicate results effectively.
• Computer-literate, intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
