Position Overview
Under limited supervision responsible for performing inspections and oversight of received equipment, components, and materials ensuring specifications are met. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional:
Assists in the development of organizational and subcontractor work activities and verifies activities meet project requirements
Aids in the review of operations, maintenance, and design documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
Verifies compliance with the DUF6 Project Quality Assurance Plan (PQAP) and implementing procedures
Performs and documents quality receipt inspections of items to ensure adherence to applicable requirements
Conducts and documents oversight, inspections and tests in accordance with applicable procedures including acceptance/rejection of inspection and test results (i.e., electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, calibration, etc.)
Documents non-conforming conditions as a result of surveillances, inspections and tests including the evaluation and acceptance of proposed disposition(s) and verification of completion of disposition(s)
Performs inspections/examinations in accordance with DUF6 procedures developed from SNT-TC-1A recommended practice for non-destructive weld examinations which may include magnetic particle, leak test, visual, dye penetrant, ultrasonic thickness, and thermal/infrared imaging
Helps with the inspection of boilers, tanks, uranium hexafluoride (UF6) cylinders, mobile equipment, cranes, ladders, fall protection equipment, hoisting and rigging devices, backflow preventers, etc.
Supports performance oversight of quality affecting activities by project personnel to ensure activities conform to the established requirements
Reviews procedures to ensure that program level requirements have been adequately addressed and incorporated
Interfaces with initiators of procedures to resolve any quality concerns
Aids in the review of work orders and purchase requisitions to ensure quality requirements are included
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
