Influence and ownership. You will have opportunities to contribute to plant-wide improvement initiatives that extend beyond day-to-day quality oversight. You will work on initiatives from analysis through implementation, collaborating across departments to identify opportunities and deliver measurable operational improvements.
Career development. As we expand our client base, scale our operations, and continue investing in operational excellence, that may include senior roles in Quality, Continuous Improvement, or Operations. We are committed to investing in both people and systems to provide opportunities for a rewarding, long-term career.
As our new Quality & CI Engineer, you will:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gains across manufacturing and administrative processes. You will apply structured problem-solving methods and Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5 Whys, and SMED to identify and implement process improvements.
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions. You will perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to investigate product and process issues and lead the implementation of effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). You will ensure corrective actions are documented, implemented, and sustained to prevent recurrence.
Maintain quality systems and documentation. You will support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring effective management of CAPA processes and corrective actions across the organization. You will develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality system documentation to support consistent production standards.
Oversee quality lab operations. You will support Quality Lab activities, including equipment calibration, testing procedures, and measurement systems, ensuring readiness and accuracy in quality verification processes.
Support audits and regulatory compliance. You will conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. You will help maintain certification readiness for standards such as UL, CSA, and FSC.
Collaborate with engineering teams. You will partner with engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM), change management, and validation of design or process changes to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
Monitor quality and CI performance. You will track and report key quality and continuous improvement KPIs, including scrap, rework, first-pass yield, audit scores, CAPA cycle time, and cost savings. You will analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Support supplier quality activities. You will support supplier quality activities, including vendor audits and first-article or first-sample approvals, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials and components meet quality and production requirements.
Provide on-floor operational support. You will work closely with production teams to address quality concerns, sustain improvements, and ensure adherence to established processes. You will provide support during peak production periods, including afternoon shifts when required.

Exposure to contract manufacturing, make-to-order, or similar production environments is preferred. You have experience developing processes, writing procedures and work instructions, and supporting employee training to ensure consistent execution of quality and operational standards. You have experience applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
The technical knowledge. You are familiar with ERP systems and comfortable using data and reporting tools to support operational decision-making. You have exposure to CSA, UL, FSC, or other QMS standards, along with strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You are skilled at collecting, organizing, and analyzing operational data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and develop practical, data-driven improvement strategies.
The interpersonal skills. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities. You are comfortable collaborating across departments, resolving issues, and communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
