About the Role:

We’re currently looking for a qualified Electrician to join our team in Westport on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

Conduct electrical inspections, identify faults, and perform diagnostics and repairs.

Ensure all electrical work meets New Zealand’s electrical standards, including compliance with all relevant regulations.

Respond to callouts and perform fault-finding and repairs.

Maintain accurate records of work completed, including certificates and compliance documentation.

Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery in line with NZ health and safety standards.

Confident in Customer Service.

Ability to support, mentor and train electrical apprentices.

Key Requirements:

A Fully qualified Electrician with a current New Zealand Electrical Registration and a practising license (EWRB).

Experience in commercial and residential electrical work.

Knowledge of New Zealand’s electrical safety regulations, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Experience in industrial electrical work (desirable but not essential).

Experience of heat pump or solar installation (desirable but not essential).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Highly motivated and quick-thinking with a focus on fault finding and root cause analysis.

Ability to self-direct while also working effectively within a team.

Full New Zealand driver’s license.

The legal right to work in New Zeeland.
