Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for a QHSE Officer to join our team based in Balikpapan, Indonesia. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries. We have a well-earned reputation for our knowledge and professionalism in all aspects of weighing, sampling and analysis.
The QHSE Officer plays a vital role in coordinating and reporting on QHSE programs while supporting the preparation for Laboratory Accreditation based on ISO 17025:2017 standards. Acting as the Quality and HSE representative for the Kalimantan area, this position is responsible for investigating workplace incidents, conducting regular audits, and developing new safety procedures to ensure full regulatory compliance. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
Skill in developing and implementing QHSE Management Systems and formulating related policies
Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to personnel
Advanced analytical and objective critical thinking skills, including the ability to compile data and prepare comprehensive reports
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Suite applications
Ability to develop and present educational workshops or training sessions
Emotional maturity and discipline to keep projects and teams on track
Required Work Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a Quality and HSE Management System
Specific experience in the mining industry or laboratory testing based on ISO 17025:2017 standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Public Health, or Chemistry studies (experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis)
Possession of a valid driving license
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, with a valid passport and ability to obtain necessary visas
