Job Summary
inExhaust is an industrial silencer & exhaust systems manufacturer located in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are looking for motivated individuals who will positively impact on our company and share in the excitement of our successes as we continue to grow. This job involves tasks such as running tests, keeping a record of defects, analyzing products, and overseeing procedures
Duties and Responsibilities
Understanding of the client's needs, requirements, and communicating them and the quality standards to the production teams.
Inspecting raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, grinders, power tools, and other like items.
Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics.
Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from our quality standards.
Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
Keeping accurate documentation
Maintain accurate records and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Devising ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectors.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
Computer literacy
In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
Reading and understanding of Blueprints.
Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a working manufacturing facility, as such this is a hot/cold, dusty, loud area, and there are always moving parts. Caution and attention to your surroundings needs to always be at the for-front of your mind as safety always starts with you.
Over 80% of the Quality Control Technician’s Day will be spent on the production floor.
Travel
Less than 5% per year.
Attention to Detail
Must have resourcefulness, initiative, and skill to function in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail in goal/task accomplishment with minimal supervision is a must; professionalism and the ability to interact effectively with others is expected.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
