QC Raw Materials Sampling Analyst

Responsibilities Include: 

• Working in a cleanroom environment by aseptically gowning and sampling raw materials
• Performing inspection of containers, components, and other consumables.
• Receiving, handling, and disposing of samples
• Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices before use.
• Accurately records test results and reports any quality anomalies
• Maintains laboratory supplies and performs laboratory housekeeping as assigned
• Ensures excellent customer service to clients
• Participates in required training activities
• Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements
• Potential cross-training opportunity with sampling and testing of compressed gas systems and sampling and testing of compressed gas tankers

This position is an indoor lab-based position working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires aseptic gowning techniques. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

• No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans etc) are permitted and must be removed prior to entry
• Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)
• No jewelry may be worn, (exceptions are medical alert related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
• Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess: 

• Is self-motivated, adaptable, team-oriented, and has a positive attitude 
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies 
• Knowledgeable of aseptic techniques
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail 
• Desire to work in a moderately physical role that requires standing much of the time
• Strong computer and organizational skills 
• Fosters a healthy, trusting environment and champions transparency and communication
• GMP, biopharmaceutical, or other related industry experience
• Familiarity with LIMS

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience 
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Details: 

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
