QA Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Set, coordinate and execute clear annual goals and actions as part of a QA annual strategy to improve quality assurance processes within the company. This will involve working closely with other teams to ensure everyone is aligned, improve workflows, and make continuous improvements throughout the product development process;

• Ensure the quality of daily work performed by QA team members;

• Share reports on software testing results, defects, and other relevant metrics with all interested parties;

• Identify training and career development needs and opportunities for the team;

• Manage, mentor, and lead the team by focusing on their performance and development. Set up both short-term and long-term objectives and build development plans;

• Work with software engineers, product managers, and other teams to understand project requirements and define test plans;

• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in QA automation to enhance testing practices;

• Foster a proactive and collaborative approach to quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is required;

• A minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance, focusing on planning and process improvement;

• Experience in leading quality assurance team, with a strong emphasis on mentoring and development;

• Proficient understanding of various quality assurance methodologies and processes, with the ability to implement improvements and best practices;

• Expertise in overseeing the creation of comprehensive test plans and managing extensive testing operations;

• A strong grasp of the concepts and strategies behind automation testing to effectively oversee automation initiatives;

• A thorough comprehension of the software development and Agile processes, with the ability to integrate quality assurance seamlessly throughout;

• Knowledgeable in programming and scripting languages and frameworks to understand technical issues and guide the team effectively;

• Experience with defect management tools and practices to ensure quality and accountability;

• Understanding of performance testing to oversee the assessment of software performance and the identification of potential issues;

• Well-versed in the fundamentals of security testing and familiar with industry best practices;

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles to guide the integration of quality assurance into development and deployment pipelines.
