QA SELENIUM CONSULTANT

We are looking for an experienced QA consultant with strong hands on Selenium and Mobile testing experience for a 9+ month consulting assignment with our direct client in Grand Rapids, MI. to provide hands on leadership, and development expertise in the areas of software development process, test methodologies, test automation, tool development, and deployment.

DUTIES

Provide timely updates to the Team Lead and Project Manager on the status of the quality objectives for the project. Oversee the test environment to ensure it is suitable for the test activities. Oversee defect analysis and reporting. Develop and maintain testing metrics.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Candidates must have all of the following skills to be considered:

5+ years of IT experience in testing java web based applications, Very strong experience with the design, creation, and execution of automation scripts using Selenium is required

5+ years’ experience manual and automated testing for both front and back end web applications web based and/or applications

5+ years of automation experience-need to have experience developing frame work automations from scratch

Must have cross browsers testing experience on both PC and Macs, IE8.9.10, Chrome, Firefox, Safari as well as apps that work on those too

Mobile testing for all devices/mobile operating systems required (iOS and Android)

5+ years’ experience facilitating User Acceptance testing

5+ years’ experience in black & white box, system and browser compatibility testing

5+ years’ experience in developing JUnit test cases based on requirements

Experience with JavaScript and JQuery

Proficient in planning, writing, and executing test specifications

Experience with Waterfall / Agile methodologies

Develop and maintain test plans and test cases

Experience in Bug Reporting, record, track and manage defects

Experience in Jira, Toad and Confluence desired

Ability to work with version control systems

Ability to understand and write basic SQL queries to perform data verification to check the validity and integrity of the data and set up test data

Self-starter, good communication skills, self-motivated and a team player

Skills: Selenium, Agile, SQL, JIRA, JQuery, Cross Browser testing experience
