QA Engineer

You will be a member of the quality assurance core center of competency under the Development & Innovation for Technology ProducTisation & Operations (DITTO) department.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and ensuring the overall quality of our software products. You will also establish standards, guidelines and best practices to raise the level of competency for quality assurance in our organisation.

Responsibilities

• Work within cross-functional project teams to design comprehensive test cases and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases using automated testing tools such as Katalon.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
• Identify, report, and track software defects.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts and end users to resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Assist in continuous improvement of QA processes, including establishing organisation-wide guidelines and standards.
• Keep up to date with the best practices for QA in the software industry.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance
• Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, JUnit, Katalon)
• Experience with performance and security testing
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing
