QA Engineer – Automation & Quality Engineering (m/f/d)

Summary:
Our platform supports complex processes around manufacturing, procurement, and pricing logic and is continuously evolving. We are also building new product areas, including AI-driven functionality.
As our system grows, ensuring quality becomes more challenging. Today, a significant part of our testing is still manual, and automation is not yet where it needs to be.

For that reason we are looking for a QA Engineer who takes ownership of this. You will increase confidence in our system through effective automated testing, including how we test and evaluate AI-driven systems.

Your responsibilities with us:
• Take ownership of test automation across our platform and new product areas
• Identify where automated testing creates the most impact and drive its implementation
• Work closely with developers to integrate testing into the development workflow
• Collaborate closely with our existing QA to improve overall test coverage and quality
• Define and evolve our testing strategy for both deterministic and AI-driven systems
• Define and implement ways to evaluate non-deterministic system behavior (e.g. AI outputs)
• Use AI-supported tools to improve test creation, maintenance, and coverage
• Increase confidence in releases by improving reliability, not by adding process overhead
• Identify quality risks early and make them visible to the team

Your professional skills:
• Experience in QA, test automation, or quality engineering in real-world system
• Hands-on experience with automated testing (e.g., API, integration, or E2E tests)
• Ability to decide what is truly worth testing and what is not
• Interest in or initial experience with testing AI systems
• Understanding of modern web applications and the interaction between frontend and backend
• Proficiency in dealing with existing, evolved systems (not just a focus on greenfield)
• Good English skills, both written and spoken
