Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Python-based automation and BDD frameworks to help scale and modernize quality engineering practices across our development lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who is not only technically strong, but also motivated to continuously learn, evolve automation standards, modernize test frameworks at scale, and drive data-informed quality decisions. You will play a key role in strengthening automation architecture, improving CI/CD integration, and advancing quality maturity across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python

• Develop and execute automated tests using PyTest

• Implement and maintain BDD test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin

• Contribute to the modernization and continuous improvement of existing test frameworks

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines

• Work within Linux environments and write supporting Bash scripts

• Partner closely with engineering teams to embed quality early in the SDLC

• Analyze test results, defect trends, and automation metrics to support data-driven quality improvements

• Identify gaps in coverage and proactively improve reliability and performance

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python (must-have)

• 2+ years of experience with PyTest

• Strong experience with Cucumber/Gherkin (BDD approach)

• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines

• Solid experience working in Linux environments

• Experience writing and maintaining Bash scripts

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and modern development practices

• Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks
