Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

the responsibility of ensuring that the software products developed for lending and credit infrastructure projects meet the required standards of quality. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality assurance processes and practices. The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in automation testing to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of software testing procedures.

Overview of Responsibilities and Expectations for the Role

• Collaborate with the Test Lead and cross-functional teams to define testing requirements, identify test scenarios, and prioritize test efforts based on business goals and project timelines.

• Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for lending and credit infrastructure projects.

• Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools for API testing, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and maintainability of test suites.

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members to promote code quality and adherence to automation best practices.

• Analyze test results, identify trends, and proactively address areas for improvement to optimize software quality and reliability.

• Expertise in API automation testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable automation solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in designing and implementing automation frameworks for API testing, incorporating best practices in test automation architecture, design patterns, and code reusability.

• Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs, including advanced concepts such as contract testing, schema validation, and asynchronous messaging.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, coupled with experience in building custom automation solutions and extending automation frameworks.

• Achievement of high test automation coverage, reducing manual testing efforts and improving overall test efficiency.

• Reduction in the number of escaped defects, leading to improved software quality and customer satisfaction.

• Acceleration of software delivery cycles through the implementation of CI/CD practices, resulting in faster time-to-market and increased business agility.

• Recognition as a subject matter expert in API automation testing, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in the ff: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology

• At least 5 – 8 years of Software Testing experience

• At least 3 years of experience in Automation Testing
