QA Automation Engineer (Functional, API & Cypress)

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with deep experience in functional testing, API validation, and automation using Cypress. This role requires strong technical ownership and the ability to validate complex workflows while ensuring consistent, high-quality releases. The engineer will collaborate closely with development, product, and client-facing teams to strengthen quality processes and automation coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing for complex web applications.
• Validate API behavior using Postman, including designing collections, assertions, and advanced scripts.
• Develop, maintain, and scale automation suites using Cypress.
• Collaborate with developers to perform root-cause analysis and improve system reliability.
• Define and document testing strategies, test cases, defect patterns, and automation practices.
• Drive continuous improvement across QA processes, tools, and quality standards.

Requirements:
• At least 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance roles.
• Strong experience in functional QA testing.
• Proven, advanced experience validating APIs with Postman.
• Solid hands-on experience with Cypress for UI/API automation (additional frameworks are a plus).
• Fluent English – B2+ level, with the ability to communicate effectively with North American clients.

Additional Requirements

• Strong understanding of QA principles, debugging, and defect lifecycle.
• Basic knowledge of GCP or other cloud platforms (nice to have).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate clearly, and drive quality initiatives.
