About the Role

Quality Assurance Analysts at Neon One are responsible for ensuring the quality of all software products, including web applications, iOS/Android apps, APIs, and third-party integrations. Their duties involve conducting thorough manual and exploratory testing in a staging environment to identify technical issues, documenting software bugs, and recommending improvements to the development team before product releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous acceptance testing for feature upgrades and bug fixes, verifying correct application functionality and proper implementation of changes

• Design comprehensive test plans and test cases for all new features, focusing on coverage and identifying edge cases

• Execute manual and exploratory testing across all supported platforms to ensure high-quality and consistent user experience

• Document and report all identified defects and verify all reported bugs, working with the Product Owner and team to prioritize them in the backlog

• Collaborate with Software Engineers to address issues discovered during testing

• Drive adoption of ongoing quality improvements to reduce defects and streamline code delivery, enforcing established quality standards for products and partnerships

• Act as a liaison between Support (via Jira and Slack) and the team to ensure reported issues are accurately submitted and clearly understood

• Work as part of a shared QA team across all Agile projects - collaborating with Product Owners, Engineers, Designers, Scrum Masters, and other Product Development members in meetings/Scrum Events as necessary

• Maintain and update test databases and staging environments, adding/removing users to/from testing environments as needed

• Support the writing of Release Notes and additional documentation to coincide with each release

• Update all relevant documentation pertaining to manual testing procedures, templates, and internal support guides

• Collaborate with fellow QA Analysts and the broader QA team to implement, maintain and apply consistent quality assurance processes and standards

Nice to Haves

• Experience with QA software testing experience focused on manual testing

• Bachelor's Degree

• Experience testing a B2B application

• Proven team player who enjoys working with internal cross-functional departments

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Zendesk preferred

• Previous experience with Test Management systems (i.e. QMetry)
