Python & R Developer with Mathematical Skills

Thales Services Numériques supports over sixty customers with outsourcing operations. We manage and enhance our customers’ systems through MRO activities, development and transformation of IT applications (including cloud migration), secure hybrid or on-premises infrastructure, and security audits with follow-up on remediation plans.

Role Description:

You will join an Agile team composed of System Engineers, Developers, Integrators, and other roles depending on the needs of the project.

Required Competencies:

• Design and develop our LDT software solution, leveraging both Python and R technologies as core components.
• Utilize advanced mathematical and statistical skills in developing and optimizing algorithms and solutions.
• Participate in validation and integration of developed software.
• Analyze anomalies and maintain previous versions of the software, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the software lifecycle.
• Maintain and improve the development environment (Continuous Integration, DevOps practices).
• Contribute to overall software architecture in line with existing product components.
• Collaborate with other product teams within Thales solutions, in a scaled Agile (SAFe) environment.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Engineering degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field) or equivalent background, with direct experience in software development.
• Skilled in Python and R programming languages, with proven experience in data analysis, modeling, and real-time environments.
• Strong command of mathematics, specifically statistics, probability, and algorithmic problem-solving.
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins or similar).
• Solid knowledge of configuration management (GIT).
• Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative Agile environment.
• Demonstrated analytical rigor and synthesis skills.
• Proactive, autonomous, and persistent in reaching objectives.
• Experience in innovative or complex technical projects, ideally within the aerospace sector.
