The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is $75,461 to $116,035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master's will be paid at a higher range.

As a PYP Music Teacher, you will:
Ignite a love of music through engaging, inquiry-based learning (PreK–Grade 5)
Foster confidence, creativity, and well-being in every student
Lead 2–3 co-curricular ensembles, building joy and community through performance
Collaborate in a fast-paced, innovative teaching culture
Create inclusive spaces where students feel seen, safe, and inspired to belong
Enrich student life through arts, athletics, outdoor education, and leadership opportunities
What You’ll Do
Deliver concept-driven PYP Music curriculum using an inquiry-based approach
Direct and grow co-curricular music programmes
Contribute to clubs, coaching, and outdoor education experiences
Collaborate with Performing Arts colleagues and classroom teachers
Design meaningful assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback
Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
What You Bring
Required:
Legal authorisation to work in Canada
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young learners
First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred:
Degree in Music or Music Education
BC Teacher Certification
Experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
Orff-Schulwerk training
Experience leading ensembles, concerts, and events
Passion for co-curricular involvement and student life
Strong collaboration, communication, and organisational skills

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
