PYP Art Teacher – Medical Leave Cover

SEK International School Santa Isabel is seeking to immediately appoint a PYP Art Teacher to cover a medical leave within the Infant and Primary School.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and international learning environment, contributing to the holistic development of students through high-quality art education aligned with the IB philosophy and SEK values.

Mission:

To promote students’ holistic learning through carefully planned, delivered, and assessed teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that every student has opportunities to develop academically, physically, and socio-emotionally. The role involves implementing differentiated strategies to meet diverse learning needs and fostering an international mindset consistent with IB principles and SEK values.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging Art learning experiences linked to transdisciplinary and disciplinary units of inquiry.

Collaborate proactively in Art department meetings and with the wider teaching team.

Participate in school events and community activities.

Deliver extracurricular Art activities.

Work closely with Infant and Primary coordinators, teaching staff, the Arts department, and families to support student development.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education.

Higher Education in Arts or a specialisation in Art Education will be considered an asset.

Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.

Bilingual Spanish and English (required).

Proficiency in the use of educational platforms and digital tools.
