We are hiring IB PYP 4 & 5 Homeroom Teachers for leading international schools in Hyderabad. This full-time role is ideal for educators who are passionate about inquiry-based learning and committed to delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). With a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience, you will be responsible for leading a homeroom class and facilitating holistic student development through concept-driven and student-centric teaching practices.
As a Homeroom Teacher (HRT), you will play a central role in managing both academic and pastoral responsibilities for your class. You will guide students through transdisciplinary learning experiences, encourage critical thinking, and foster a global perspective. The role requires strong classroom management, collaboration with specialist teachers, and continuous engagement with parents to ensure each child’s progress and well-being.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework for Grades 4 and 5
• Act as the primary point of contact for students, taking ownership of their academic progress and overall well-being
• Design transdisciplinary units of inquiry that integrate multiple subject areas and promote conceptual understanding
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student voice and participation
• Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessment methods aligned with IB standards
• Maintain detailed records of student performance and provide regular feedback to parents through meetings and reports
• Collaborate with subject specialists, coordinators, and leadership teams to ensure effective curriculum delivery
• Support students’ social-emotional development and encourage independent learning habits
• Participate in school events, exhibitions, and IB-related activities such as student-led conferences and portfolio presentations
• Stay updated with IB teaching practices and contribute to curriculum planning and improvement initiatives
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in IB PYP or an international curriculum environment
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and student-centered teaching methodologies
• Passion for teaching and ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to manage a homeroom class while balancing academic and pastoral responsibilities
• Strong planning, organizational, and classroom management skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject; IB training or certification is an added advantage
