The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, tracking metrics, negotiating deals, and managing vendors.

This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's procurement activities, ensuring efficient sourcing, negotiation, and supply of goods and services. This position requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic procurement plans, policies, and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and ensure timely supply of materials and services.

Lead the local procurement team in sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and managing supplier relationships.

Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.

Execute national and international purchases according with headquarter guidelines.

Lead the procurement team in sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and managing supplier relationships.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize excess or obsolete materials.

Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

Utilize data analysis tools (BI and SRM) to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Actively participate in product development projects to ensure early involvement of Procurement in strategic sourcing decisions, supplier selection, cost optimization, and risk assessment during the early development phase.

Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and cost-saving opportunities.

Work experience and education requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

At least 5 years of proven working experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish favorable terms with suppliers.

Demonstrated understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain management.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Proficient in using procurement software and tools; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Advanced level of English.
