JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Materials Management Director, the Materials Management Clerk assists with ensuring the effective operations of the department by fulfilling requests in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate stock, and keeping inventory organized. Hours are 8:00-4:30
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred but not required.
Experience:
Previous experience in Materials Management is preferred but not required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Issues all non-billable supplies to appropriate departments.
Transfers all patient billable supplies to appropriate inventories.
Fills any and all requests for stock supplies requisitions for all departments.
Labels items before distributing to other departments.
Transports supplies to other departments.
Notifies the purchasing agent of any low stock in the main inventory.
Checks inventory for expired items. All expired items are placed in a designated area under lock. These items are to be destroyed in accordance with item type.
Assists with keeping shelves stocked in the department.
Maintains stock par level for Med Surg and ER supply carts on a weekly basis.
Places any orders unable to be completely filled at the time in appropriate locations to be ordered on purchase order.
Responds to calls and relays information to appropriate personnel.
Break down and discard any boxes and additional trash used for projects on a daily basis.
Performs other job-related tasks as requested.
