Overview

Purple is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Public Relations Intern to support our in-house communications team. This internship is open to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing school credit and offers firsthand experience within the dynamic world of fashion PR and brand storytelling. 

Interns will play an integral role in supporting sample trafficking, influencer and VIP gifting, media monitoring, and seasonal initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for students looking to gain real-world experience in brand communications, influencer marketing, and product placement within the luxury and contemporary fashion space.

A daily lunch stipend will be provided for each working day on-site.

Please note: This is an unpaid internship and is strictly available to students who are eligible to receive academic credit through their educational institution. We are only able to proceed with candidates whose internship will be formally recognized for school credit.

Responsibilities:

Assist with sample trafficking, including check-ins/outs, packaging, and inventory management using Fashion GPS (Launchmetrics). 

Support influencer and VIP gifting initiatives — coordinating send-outs, tagging, shipping, and maintaining tracking documents. 

Help manage and update internal databases for stylists, influencers, and brand partners. 

Monitor social and digital platforms for brand mentions, influencer content, and press coverage. 

Assist in preparing weekly press reports, seeding logs, and internal recaps. 

Participate in showroom appointments, events, and brand activations, supporting logistics and presentation. 

Maintain organization of press assets, digital lookbooks, and sample archives. 

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible to receive school credit. 

Demonstrated interest in fashion, PR, media, and digital culture. 

Excellent organization and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail. 

Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced setting. 

Familiarity with Microsoft Workspace (Outlook, Excel, PPT) 

Professional, proactive, and solution-oriented demeanor. 

Availability of 2–3 days per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
