Job Descriptions/Tasks

As an Account Manager in Personal Systems, you are focused on building strong professional relationships with a variety of customers in Public sector. You will establish a high level of personal credibility as you deeply understand business strategies and challenges to be able to act as a trusted advisor and shape deals early in the sales cycle. With that you advance opportunities that result in profitable revenue growth for HP. Our candidate needs to have huge drive, enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ mentality and passion for HP and HP products and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Creates account/hunting plans for multiple, Public sector accounts, focusing on opportunities and understanding HP’s product and solutions portfolio for the organization's offerings.
• Develops a strong professional relationship with the client's IT organization and gain a deep understanding of their unique business needs.
• Utilizes technical and large customers process knowledge to leverage existing and new opportunities in the account and, if applicable, works with external partners to deliver solution sales.
• Collaborates with pre-sales and specialists to pursue and lead deal opportunities, ensuring proper entry and management of all opportunities in pipeline tools.
• Manages quota and complies to sales policies and strategies for the assigned business segment.
• Conducts sales presentations and proposals for clients, reflecting possible guidance of sales management.
• Learns and understands the organization's products and solutions to effectively communicate their value to clients.
• Manages and answers Public Request for Proposals as single point of contact within given conditions from documents and internal side.
• Creates product offerings including pricing.

Education & Experience

• Higher Education Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or any other related discipline or demonstrated competence/experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience of work, preferably in account management, product specialty (computers, printers, servers, storage) or a related field.

• Native or fluent in German and English as working with local partners and customers.

Knowledge & Skills

• Applies specialized knowledge to assess client's business and identify opportunities to extend current and new business in the account.
• Ability to prioritize and drive strategic sales activity on a product and solutions basis.
• Product and solutions demonstration, customer training and product installation skills.
• Be able to utilize resources effectively in or order to pursuit revenue generating opportunities in the account.
• Competitive selling skills.
• Negotiation skills and ability to frame the value proposition for the customer/prospects.
