PSYCHOLOGIST

Job Summary

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist (PhD) to join our multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team. This full-time, Monday-Friday position requires a licensed doctoral-level (PhD) psychologist. This position offers the rewarding opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a supportive, outpatient setting. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with a NYS License. Core Job Responsibilities
Psychological testing and assessment for adults and children
Psychotherapy for adults and children
Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment programs accordingly
Communicates with and counsels family members as appropriate.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team
Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Demonstrate quality in documentation
Must be on site
Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

PhD or PsyD degree in clinical, counseling psychology or related field
Experience in assessment and DSM diagnosis
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn new software.

PREFERRED:

Master’s degree (in lieu of Psychology License)
Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:

NYS Certified Psychologist License (or eligibility)

PREFERRED:

Certification in psychometrics (in lieu of Psychology License)
