Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (BC/BE) Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and crisis intervention for a diverse patient population. You will collaborate closely with social workers, therapists, and primary care providers to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
• Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and mental status examinations.
• Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized pharmacological and therapeutic treatment plans for acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Collaborative Care: Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide consultations to primary care and specialty medical staff.
• Patient Advocacy: Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term wellness strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Crisis Management: Provide emergency psychiatric assessments and intervention as needed within the clinical or hospital setting.
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program.
• Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Psychiatry.
• Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted State Medical License and DEA registration.
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Psychiatry by the ABPN or an equivalent board.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with [specific population, e.g., Child & Adolescent, Geriatric, or Substance Use Disorders].
• Proficiency in [specific Electronic Health Record system, e.g., Epic, Athena].
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative, team-based care.
