A Day in the Life: PRP Coach
No two days are exactly the same, but here is a glimpse into what your schedule might look like:
9:00 AM – The Morning Huddle: You start your day by checking emails and reviewing your schedule. You touch base with your Supervisor or the Clinical Director to discuss a client who is facing a housing transition.
10:30 AM – Community Skill-Building: You meet a client at a local library. Together, you work on their resume and practice mock interview questions. You aren't doing the work for them; you are coaching them on how to do it themselves.
12:30 PM – Wellness Check-In: You visit a client at their home to work on "Activities of Daily Living" (ADLs). Today, you’re helping them create a weekly meal plan and a grocery list that fits within their $50 weekly budget.
2:00 PM – Resource Navigation: You accompany a client to the Social Security office or a local clinic to ensure they feel supported while navigating complex systems and advocating for their needs.
4:00 PM – Clinical Documentation: You head to the office (or your home office) to wrap up the day. You write clear, concise progress notes for each encounter, documenting the client's progress toward their recovery goals and noting any behavioral changes.
5:00 PM – Mission Accomplished: You head home knowing that today, a client feels more confident in their ability to manage their life independently.
