Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Opportunity – Downtown Brooklyn!!!
Currently recruiting an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner to work with an outstanding organization in downtown Brooklyn
As part of the position the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical status based on the presenting symptoms and complaints and diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions.
The practitioner will also write prescriptions for psychotropic medications as allowed by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Provide medication management including prescription refills and medication education to clinic consumers. Administer medications including those administered by injection. Monitor patients' medication usage and results. Consult with psychiatrists or other professionals when unusual or complex cases are encountered. Document patients' medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or outcomes
