Eurofins PSS is seeking a Protein Purification Scientist to support biomolecule production activities at a client site in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on mammalian cell culture, transient transfection, and downstream protein purification workflows. The position is well suited for an early-career scientist with a strong foundation in biochemistry who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain mammalian cell lines using aseptic technique to support regular transient transfection schedules.
• Perform transient transfections and support protein and antibody production workflows.
• Purify proteins and antibodies using automated purification systems under supervision.
• Assist with molecular biology activities, including cloning and plasmid preparation, following appropriate training.
• Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results using client-provided Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs).
• Analyze data, summarize findings, and contribute to troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts as trained.

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience (academic or industry).
• Hands-on experience with aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture.
• Fundamental knowledge of molecular biology techniques.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

The position is Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA, are encouraged to apply.
